"Fortress LA" Print

Digital prints on Finch Fine paper with custom screen-printed Slake: Los Angeles crest logo. A limited number are signed by the author. 12 by 18 inches; unframed.

Photographer C. R. Stecyk III takes readers on a photographic tour of Southern California’s military installations. Whether we like it or not, L.A. should be pretty well protected in case of attack.

This image was originally created as a feature spread in Slake No. 1 by Alex Bacon and Dan Peterka of GAMA Function, who then hand printed it as a limited-edition poster. Bacon is a veteran of the surf-punk magazines Bikini and Raygun and now heads GAMA Function, a full-service design and branding shop. Peterka is an artist and skateboarder who, among other things, invented the crooked nose grind.
